Because of the increased complexity of critically ill patients on multiple medical devices, sometimes the ICU can become the location for emergency operative interventions. However, there are resource challenges associated with bringing the operating room to the bedside. This session will explore the pros and cons of bedside interventions and review necessary resources to make bedside operations safe for patients and staff.
