Mary Faith Marshall, PHD, HEC-C, FCCM is the Emily Davie and Joseph S. Kornfeld Professor of Bioethics and Director, Center for Health Humanities and Ethics at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She is the former Chair of the SCCM Ethics Committee and Co-Founder of the Ethics Keg. She is the co-chair of the SCCM End-of-Life Guidelines At UVA Dr. Marshall directs the Program in Biomedical Ethics, the Ethics Consult Service, is Co-Chair of the UVA Health Ethics Committee and a member of the Moral Distress Consult Service. She is a past president of the American Society for Bioethics and Humanities. Her research interests include clinical and research ethics, moral distress, reproductive ethics and justice, medically and ethically inappropriate treatment, and ethical issues in pandemic preparedness and response.
