My name is E. Scott Halstead, MD, PhD, and I am an Associate Professor of Pediatrics, in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine, at Penn State University College of Medicine. I am an physician scientist who cares for critically ill children in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and I research ways to better categorize patients with sepsis and pulmonary failure using biologic profiles, including protein biomarkers.
