Kristen M. Kester, MD, MPH, is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow at the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. Kristen will finish her fellowship in June 2023 and join the faculty at Lurie Children’s as an Assistant Professor in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. She graduated from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine with a combined MD/MPH degree and completed her Pediatrics residency at New York-Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. Her interests are broad, ranging from legislative advocacy initiatives and injury-related research to her two main areas of focus: medical education and point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS). She has taught pediatric POCUS applications to a variety of audiences including medical students, physician assistant students, residents, fellows, and faculty, both locally and nationwide.
