Tim Montrief, MD, MPH, is an Assistant Professor of Critical Care Medicine at the Miami Transplant Institute's cardiovascular intensive care unit, as well as an attending physician at the Jackson Memorial emergency department. He received a degree in Arabic from the University of Michigan, a Master’s in Public Health from the University of Miami, completed medical school at the University Of Miami Miller School Of Medicine, emergency medicine residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital, and a critical care fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. He is passionate about medical education and is proud to have contributed content to numerous free open-access medical education resources. Dr. Montrief is a senior editor for both emDOcs and Academic Life in Emergency Medicine blogs, and continues to be a speaking coach for numerous medical education conferences.
