Lynn Kelso is an acute care nurse practitioner on faculty at the University of Kentucky with a clinical appointment at UK Healthcare with the Department of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine. She teaches pathohphysiology and pharmacology to undergraduate and graduate nursing students and works with on the Advanced Practice Provider MICU team. She completed her BSN at West Virginia University in 1984 and then worked at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center on the liver transplant unit and ICU. She completed a MSN at Case Western Reserve University and then her ACNP at the University of Pittsburgh. After working as an ACNP in the liver transplant ICUs, she moved to Kentucky to start the first ACNP program in the state at the Univesrity of Kentucky. During her time at UK she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a focus in Clincal Leadership. She has been an active member of SCCM, previously serving as the designated nursing seat on Council and being a member of numerous committees and task forces. She is a nationally recognized speaker and continues to help further nursing, critical care and SCCM.
