Dr Arthur Tokarczyk is a Critical Care Anesthesiologist at NorthShore University HealthSystems and Clinical Assistant Professor at University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. He underwent training as a combat medic and respiratory specialist in United States Army Reserves before attending University of Illinois at Chicago Medical School, and completed anesthesiology residency and critical care fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital. At NorthShore University HealthSystems, he began the emergency medicine resident airway rotation and multidisciplinary critical care simulator training, in addition to contributing to the teaching series for anesthesiology residents, medical students and internal medicine residents, and critical care fellows. He serves as simulation faculty for Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA), expanding the simulation center's ability to offer specific critical care certification for MOCA. He joined the difficult airway management group at American College of Chest Physicians (ACCP), earning Fellowship of the American College of Chest Physicians and Distinguished Educator each year he has been involved in education, and is Vice Chair of the ACCP Airway Management Domain Task Force.
