Patients with encephalopathy of unclear etiology are frequently monitored with EEG in all ICUs. This session will be a case-based talk on EEG patterns that are commonly described in ICU patients and what that EEG report means for the clinician at the bedside. Common questions like which patterns need to be addressed with Anti-seizure drugs will be addressed. Patterns to be aware of in hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy will also be addressed.
