Some POCUS diagnostic difficulties can be easily observed and acted upon. We term them as evident "diagnostic difficulties". Evident diagnostic error occurs from diagnostic process failure (incorrect diagnosis) which may lead to unnecessary consultation, testing and patient harm. In this section we review the means of detecting such diagnostic difficulties, common difficulties encountered, and potential solutions.
