This session overviews the epidemiology and outcomes of pediatric in-hospital cardiac arrest and resuscitation and introduces the concepts of never events as a patient safety problem and simulation for resuscitation training. Also discussed is the current rapid response system that is mobilized to responds to patient deterioration pre-arrest.
