A common outcome for critically ill patients is death, which affects not only the patient but also the bereaved and the care team. This session explores the latest science surrounding the dying process. Speakers will discuss strategies for interacting with family members during and after the dying process, long-term outcomes for the bereaved, and managing the impact of death on caregivers.
