With improved recognition of clinical deterioration and validated predictions tools, in-hospital cardiac arrest may be the “never” event of the future. If arrest does occur, high-quality CPR improves patient survival and outcomes. Rare events such as these require a highly skilled team prepared to provide excellent resuscitation. This pro/con session considers these concepts.
